They are seeking a highly motivated intern to join their Battery Algorithms team, focusing on developing and enhancing advanced battery management features and real-time battery control algorithms.

Responsibilities
Collaborate within a cross-functional team to develop and enhance advanced battery management features
Contribute to industry-leading battery solutions for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy systems
Analyze laboratory and fleet data to support the development, validation, and quality assurance of real-time battery control algorithms
Design and optimize battery control algorithms to improve safety, performance, and user experience
Work closely with teams including battery cell development, controls, embedded software, system engineering, and vehicle integration to define requirements and conduct integration testing
Assist the Battery Software team with additional tasks and projects as required
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of battery chemistries, including LFP and NMC
Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and EV powertrain architectures
Familiarity with battery control and algorithm design principles
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
Solid background in electrochemistry and battery modeling
Understanding of vehicle control systems such as motors, onboard chargers, and thermal management systems
Academic background in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
Currently enrolled in or accepted into a Master's or PhD program at an accredited university, with proof of enrollment
