Responsibilities

Manage projects and resources to develop new product lines that serve Cornell Pump's strategic growth initiatives
Develop project proposals including market research, feasibility, cost estimates, and development plans, working closely with internal stakeholders
Design and analyze centrifugal pumps and integrated mechanical systems, including hydraulics, materials, motors, drivers, controls, and auxiliary components
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and certification requirements; coordinate third-party testing as needed
Support sourcing and supplier development efforts by communicating technical requirements, timelines, and cost targets
Plan, execute, and analyze product testing, using performance data and trends to validate designs and drive improvements
Investigate field and warranty issues as needed, provide technical training, and support sales, manufacturing, and customers through troubleshooting, application guidance, and value engineering
Provide technical training and cross-functional support to sales and manufacturing

Required

3-8 years industry-related experience
Proven project management success releasing products in a fast-paced New Product Development environment
Detailed knowledge of mechanical function, design, and assembly of three-phase AC electric motors
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
Strong background in integrated Electrical/Mechanical assembly design
Solidworks proficiency (equivalent 3D modeling software experience will be considered)
Strong mechanical inclination (experience working with hand and power tools, and dealing with large and complex mechanical assemblies)
Experience with specification, design, and operation of electrical motors and control systems (VFDs, motor starters, PLC logic, PID control, remote condition monitoring, etc.)

Preferred

Licensed Professional Engineer
PMP (Project Management Professional)
Solidworks training/certificates (CSWA, CSWP, etc.)
