Field Service Technician and Product Support Sales Representative

Stephenson Equipment, Inc. is an industry leader in Pennsylvania and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment. They are seeking a Field Service Technician and Product Support Sales Representative to provide on-site technical maintenance and repairs, while also engaging in sales activities during slower periods to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Construction

Responsibilities

Technical Support: Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and proactive services to keep equipment in optimal working condition
Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including labor hours, parts used, and detailed fault findings in our business systems
Customer Consultations: Conduct on-site equipment "walk-arounds" to assess wear and tear, recommending proactive parts or maintenance packages. Territory will be centered around North Central PA
Revenue Generation: Prepare quotes for parts, service agreements, and upgrades, following through to close the sale
Market Intelligence: Identify leads for new equipment sales and report competitor activity back to the management team
Relationship Management: Act as a brand ambassador, building long-term trust to boost customer retention
Complete other related job duties and functions at management’s discretion to support departmental goals

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical trade is preferred
Proven experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to transition from 'fixing' to 'selling' through a consultative approach
Experience using mobile tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and Microsoft Office
Ability to lift up to 100lbs and work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel within the assigned territory

Preferred

An Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical trade
