Required

One year of journey technical level human resource experience. This is equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere
Substitution: One year of technical level dispatching experience as an Alaska Marine Highway System Dispatcher with the State of Alaska
OR Two years of postsecondary education (64 semester hours or 96 quarter hours equal 2 years) from an accredited college or university in any field
OR Two years in any combination of postsecondary education (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month) from an accredited college or university and human resources experience at the journey technical level. This experience is equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere
OR Two years in any combination of postsecondary education (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month) from an accredited college or university and technical level dispatching experience. This experience is equivalent to an Alaska Marine Highway System Dispatcher with the State of Alaska
Special Note: 'Human resource' work includes experience in recruitment and selection, classification, employee training, employer provided benefits programs, employment law compliance, personnel, payroll, or employee or labor relations. Supervision of subordinates does not in itself constitute human resource work
