Responsibilities
Provide high-quality outpatient care while meeting productivity standards
Minimum 14 patients per 8-hour shift (7 per half day)
Adjusted targets for extended shifts
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, including:
HIV and STIs
Hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, hyperlipidemia
UTIs, respiratory illnesses, infections, minor injuries
Manage patient schedules to minimize no-shows and support retention
Complete clinical documentation same day or within 72 hours, including accurate E&M coding
Review labs, imaging, and consultant reports in a timely manner
Process prescription renewals within 72 hours
Respond to patient voicemails and emails daily
Supervise and support PAs and NPs, including required chart reviews
Participate in after-hours on-call coverage as assigned
Maintain AAHIVM certification (required within 18 months of hire)
Full-time physicians receive 4 hours of protected administrative time per week
Qualification
Required
MD or DO with an active, state-specific medical license
Infectious Disease physician experience required
Valid DEA registration and Furnishing License
AAHIVM Certification required within 18 months of start date
Current CPR/BLS certification
Preferred
Prior outpatient primary care experience strongly preferred
Board certification preferred
Comfortable managing 14–18 patients per day in a supported clinic setting
