Conduct calcium signal imaging in astrocytes
Utilize GFAP knockout mice
Employ transgenic mice with tagged ribosomes in astrocytes, enabling analysis of the astrocytic translatome via translating ribosome affinity purification (TRAP) methodology
Determine the role of astrocytes in chronic stress resilience
Investigate GFAP’s involvement in these mechanisms
Identify mRNAs with differential translation in stress-susceptible vs. stress-resilient animals
Qualification
Required
A doctoral degree (PhD) awarded no earlier than 7 years prior to employment (excluding maternity leaves)
Experience working in at least one research laboratory
A track record of experiments on eukaryotic organisms
Ability to independently design, conduct, analyze, and interpret laboratory experiments
Fluent English proficiency (speaking and writing)
