Peace Works Assistant (must be a current MPS student)
Institute for Women's Leadership Marquette University is dedicated to student engagement and community service. They are seeking a part-time Peace Works Assistant to provide office support, mentor students, and engage in community projects related to the Peace Works program.

Responsibilities
General office/clerical support
Mentor students enrolled in Peace Works programming
Maintaining Social Media Accounts
Creation of Peace Works Newsletter and/or Blog
Writing articles on various topics
Community engagement projects
Drafting and reviewing written communications
Interview various Marquette speakers and employees
Copy session materials
Attend various Marquette programs, speakers and events
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
Qualification
Required
Youth applying for this position must currently attend one of Milwaukee Public Schools
Demonstrated attention to detail, professional attitude
Willingness to have a flexible schedule
Computer competency, to include proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of social media techniques
Knowledge of and commitment to nonviolence
Warm, lively, and engaging personality; demonstrates the ability to influence peers
Passionate about interacting with other students; has a strong sense of humor
Excellent time management skills; ability to complete a project in a timely fashion
Demonstrates the ability to think critically and creatively; pays close attention to detail and is resourceful
Preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with diverse constituencies
A high level of empathy and compassion, demonstrated commitment to alternative disciplinary principles
