Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support the financial operations of their auction business. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting tasks such as posting transactions, reconciling settlements, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable in a fast-paced environment.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Enter and post auction sales, buyer premiums, taxes, and fees into the accounting system
Prepare and reconcile auction settlements for consignors and buyers
Process consignor payments and buyer receipts in a timely and accurate manner
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Reconcile cash, credit card, and wire transactions related to auction events
Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and financial documents
Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
Respond to basic accounting inquiries from internal staff and consignors
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Support special accounting projects as needed

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (auction, retail, or transaction-based environment a plus)
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and high volumes of transactions
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience in accounts payable: 1 year (Required)

Preferred

Associate degree in accounting or related field
Experience with auction management or accounting software
Familiarity with sales tax reporting
Experience handling settlements or commission-based accounting
Ability to commute to North Las Vegas, NV 89032
