Responsibilities
Own and execute month-end and year-end close activities in a predominantly manual environment
Prepare and review journal entries , accruals, and adjusting entries
Perform detailed balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with strong attention to accuracy
Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
Support AP/AR oversight , including review of transactions and issue resolution
Assist with audit support , including documentation and auditor requests
Manage fixed assets , depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations
Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements (without relying on automation)
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong experience working in manual or semi-manual accounting environments
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
Solid understanding of GAAP
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
Preferred
CPA or CPA-track a plus
Experience in small to mid-sized companies or growing organizations
Prior exposure to system transitions or process clean-up projects
Experience working in a hybrid or flexible work environment
