The main responsibility of this role is to provide an exceptional patient experience by checking in patients and ensuring accurate registration and insurance information.

Responsibilities
First person our patients see when they arrive. Main priority is to provide an exceptional patient experience with a warm, welcoming environment
The ER is a 24-hour, 365-days a year facility and does not close. The schedule is a rotating 12-hour shift, up to 40 hours per week. Schedule example: Week A: Work Monday, Tuesday, half-day Friday, Saturday, Sunday Week B: Work Wednesday, Thursday, half-day Friday
Team members will be trained in all the following areas: Front Triage Desk: Check in patients who walk in through the main entrance. Ambulance Bay: Check in patients who come in by ambulance or helicopter. ER Floor: Register patients at the bedside with portable computers. Must confirm patient demographics and collect/verify all insurance information for accuracy. Ensure ID/Insurance cards and consents are updated in the EMR system
Support self-pay process for patients without insurance coverage. Complete required documentation for Medicare patients prior to admissions, if needed
