Interim Senior Accountant

Jefferson Wells is seeking a strong Senior Accountant to assist with their D365 implementation and go live, specifically focusing on cost accounting and supply chain. This contract position requires hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and involves supporting D365 implementation, testing, and ensuring accurate setup and data integrity.

Responsibilities

Have hands‑on expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), especially modules tied to cost accounting, inventory, production, and supply chain management
Be able to support D365 implementation, testing (UAT), data validation, configuration reviews, and go‑live readiness, with a focus on cost and inventory processes
Understand how cost accounting maps within D365, including standard cost updates, item model groups, costing versions, BOM/route costing, and inventory valuation methods
Work closely with the project team to troubleshoot D365 issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and escalate system defects or misconfigurations
Assist in translating business requirements into D365 functionality, ensuring cost processes follow system best practices
Be comfortable performing end‑to‑end transaction flow tracing in D365 (PO to invoice, production orders, WIP, costing sheets, adjustments, etc.)
Communicate effectively with IT, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate D365 setup and data integrity
Work independently in a fast-paced ERP environment, bringing strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset

Ability to analyze and reconcile system-driven data in D365, including inventory balances, cost roll-ups, and cost variances
