Responsibilities
First person our patients see when they arrive. Main priority is to provide an exceptional patient experience with a warm, welcoming environment
The ER is a 24-hour, 365-days a year facility and does not close. The schedule is a rotating 12-hour shift, up to 40 hours per week. Schedule example: -Week A: Work Monday, Tuesday, half-day Friday, Saturday, Sunday -Week B: Work Wednesday, Thursday, half-day Friday
Team members will be trained in all the following areas: -Front Triage Desk: Check in patients who walk in through the main entrance. -Ambulance Bay: Check in patients who come in by ambulance or helicopter. -ER Floor: Register patients at the bedside with portable computers. Must confirm patient demographics and collect/verify all insurance information for accuracy. Ensure ID/Insurance cards and consents are updated in the EMR system
Support self-pay process for patients without insurance coverage. Complete required documentation for Medicare patients prior to admissions, if needed
