Security Operations Manager

The Security Operations Manager will oversee all phases of security operations at the airport, manage security program activities, and ensure effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Under general supervision administers all phases of the security operation related to the airport as directed by the Director of Security
Provides overall supervision of subordinates; develop, implement, and manage security program activities
Fulfills the responsibilities, qualifications, competencies, and applicable duties of a Security officer and Security Shift Supervisor
Provides employee involvement/security awareness educational programs and training
Manages overtime utilization
Identify and develops program issues impacting security operations
Analyzes department functions and make changes when appropriate to increase effectiveness and productivity
Manages all aspects of the airport fleet to ensure vehicle coverage as outlined in contract
Reviews reports and situations for potential negative impact
Attends management meetings with client and various airport stakeholders
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Security Management, Law Enforcement or a directly related field
Five (5) years of supervisory experience in aviation/security or law enforcement or equivalent
Some contracts may require to be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
Some contracts may require US Citizenship
Some contracts may require minimum of three (3) years' experience in the security or law enforcement field including two (2) years of experience at a Title 49 CFR Part 1542, regulated airport
Obtain and maintain valid Driver's License and meet company driving standards
Completed High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Age Requirement 21+
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
Valid driver's license and ability to meet Tarian Group's driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles)
Demonstrated ability in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, or other job-related software
Thorough understanding of the operations requirements of each airport post
Write detailed reports and correspondence
Read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently
Excellent customer service skills, strong verbal skills, as well as a high attention to detail as this position deals directly with all levels
Work and interact with a variety of people including, but not limited to, HSS employees, client employees, visitors, and the general public
Preferred
Must retain an American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Airport Certified Employee (ACE) for Security within two years of the contract start date
AAAE Certified Member (CM) designation
