Responsibilities

Teach a full-time course load in Counseling and Psychology programs

Participate in departmental and university assemblies

Engage in scholarship activities relevant to their area of expertise

Work in partnership with student success personnel on student advising and orientation

Develop and implement effective teaching practices to incorporate appropriate methodology

Engage in formal faculty evaluations to enhance student learning and support professional advancement

Coordinate the Counseling and Psychology School and Community specialization

Qualification

Doctoral degreeLicensed Mental Health CounselorGraduate level teachingSocial justice perspectivesAdvising graduate studentsTrauma-informed practicesField trainingPreK-12 school counseling

Required

Have a Doctoral degree, or be near completion, in Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or related field by the time of hire

Be licensed/license eligible for Massachusetts DESE School Counseling or School Adjustment Counseling licensure (Required for candidates applying to coordinate the School and Community Program)

Possess 2+ years of graduate level teaching experience

Have Demonstrated a commitment to social justice perspectives in teaching, service and practice

Preferred

Be licensed or license eligible in Massachusetts as an LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCC, or related professional (Preferred)

Have prior experience advising graduate students strongly preferred
