Manage all patient care needs during your shift, including assessment, planning, and documentation
Respond to medical or emotional crises with professionalism and warmth
Make home visits to deliver direct hospice care
Provide follow-up calls after triage for clarity and support
Adhere to Northern Illinois Hospice on-call protocols
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
1+ year medical/surgical, oncology, or hospice experience (2 years RN preferred)
CPR certification within three months
Local residence with 30-minute on-call response time
Preferred
BSN preferred
CHPN preferred (or obtained within 2 years)
