Law Practice
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of family law matters with supervision and support from senior attorneys
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
Represent clients in court hearings, conferences, and mediations
Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients during difficult life transitions
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff as part of a team-based approach
Participate in case strategy, preparation, and firm meetings
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and in good standing
1–5 years of experience practicing family law (or substantial exposure to family law matters)
Strong legal writing, organization, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
Professional, empathetic, and client-focused demeanor
Strong ability to address legal issues and develop comprehensive legal strategies
Experience in preparing and filing motions
Skilled in conducting and managing depositions
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience advocating in court
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the state bar applicable to practicing in Massachusetts
Preferred
Courtroom experience preferred
Previous experience in family law or related legal fields is preferred
