FWS - Assistant - Student - Recruitment

Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. This position provides support for Recruitment and other functions within all campuses of GHC, requiring the candidate to assist with general office support, customer service, and campus events.

Responsibilities

Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
Provides general office support assistance
Assists with HUB front desk and VHUB customer service as needed
Provides support in ticketing system and phone queue
Assists with display creation and maintenance
Assists with creation and posting of advertisements such as flyers and signs
Assists with stock maintenance including inventorying supplies and promotional/giveaway items (swag)
Assists with campus events, tours and activities to prospective students and families
Follows up with prospective students for outstanding documents
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Current GHC undergraduate student
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) currently being met
Current-Year FAFSA on file with all verifications and any other requirements complete
Currently enrolled for at least six (6) credit hours (in most instances)
Ability to follow specific directions
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately
Ability to work independently on a task and utilize appropriate critical thinking skills
Ability to talk to students and families professionally and passionately
Proactive, a self-starter, and highly motivated

Preferred

Some prior experience is preferred but not required
