Bid Manager & Proposal Writer (Remote, U.S. | 1099 Independent Contractor)
R2 Wireless is a leading provider of passive RF detection and spectrum awareness solutions serving U.S. defense and security customers. They are seeking a hands-on Bid Manager & Proposal Writer to manage the full lifecycle of government, subcontract, and partnership proposals within the U.S. defense market.

Responsibilities
Identify and qualify funded contract and R&D opportunities through SAM.gov, Vulcan, and defense innovation platforms (OTA, SBIR/STTR, and service-sponsored rapid acquisition programs)
Write, assemble, and submit compliant and compelling proposals for prime, subcontract, and partnership opportunities
Own proposal schedules, compliance matrices, milestones, and submission timelines
Track pipeline, submission status, and post-submission follow-up actions
Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, legal, operations, and leadership teams
Maintain organized records of active and historical proposals, awards, and opportunity pipelines
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in U.S. government or defense-industry proposal writing and bid management
Working knowledge of the federal acquisition and funded R&D ecosystem
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Ability to operate independently in a fully remote environment
Must hold or be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance
Preferred
Former DoD/DoW acquisition, contracting, or program experience
Demonstrated experience supporting or selling into large-scale federal programs
