Responsibilities
Provide services in clinical laboratory setting by performing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology and microbiology
Assisting in phlebotomy
Proficient in the operation of different laboratory equipment/analyzers
Running quality controls
Calibration of laboratory equipment
Capable of applying professional judgement in resulting out challenging diagnostic laboratory results
Experience working in a primary care outpatient clinic setting
Experience providing care to patients within a rural area
Experience or familiarity working with an Electronic Health Record System
Follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related responsibilities as requested by their supervisor
Qualification
Required
Minimum Associate's degree in Medical Lab Science
ASCP or equivalent required
BLS, basic life support certification required
Previous Medical/Clinical lab experience needed
Must have valid ASCP certification, or equivalent
Shall have state licensure, if required
1 year of laboratory experience Required
Lab Experience in a health care setting, Hospital, Clinic, Medical Office
Hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must be willing to pass Federal Security Clearance
Immunization records will be required
must be a US citizen
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
2 years preferred
Prior Travel experience a plus
Previous IHS experience preferred
Experience working in a primary care outpatient clinic setting
Experience providing care to patients within a rural area
Experience or familiarity working with an Electronic Health Record System
