New Grad, Entry LevelVandor Corp is seeking a Hardwood Assembly candidate to work in both team and individual settings, performing a variety of tasks to produce affordable funeral products. The role involves using hand tools to assemble wood components and maintain a clean work environment while following safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
Follow all prescribed safety regulations, including those applicable to local, state and federal laws
By following written instruction and demonstrated directions:
Identify proper materials and species of wood to be used
Maintain quality by inspecting materials used for defects and flaws, some occurring naturally in raw wood materials
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Perform basic tasks
Perform assembly processes
Perform basic machine operations
Move products and materials throughout the department as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Ability to follow demonstrated and written instructions
Good communication of the English language, both written and spoken
Ability to work in team and individual settings
Ability to read written instructions, use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and otherwise move about the facility
Preferred
Previous manufacturing experience a plus, but not required
