Billing Analyst

Responsibilities

Process franchisee billings and customer invoices
Manage electronic payments and process cash receipts
Communicate with Job Cost Accountants and Franchise Owners regarding billing questions
Ensure billing support documentation is properly published and accessible online
Maintain customer data, contact lists, and distribution lists
Record and post journal entries
Administer and process transactions in Versapay, Bizzabo, and PayPal
Document processes and support maintenance of Sage Intacct contract billing files
Assist with monthly financial statements and financial reporting packages
Prepare ad hoc reports, financial analyses, and special projects as requested by management
Support financial audits and SOX compliance testing
Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with GAAP, internal controls, company policies, and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements

Required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint)
Understanding of accounting fundamentals
Familiarity with finance‑related systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid math, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to stay composed under pressure
Ability to learn and operate key finance systems such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, and Great Plains
Ability to read and interpret financial reports and technical documents
Ability to create reports and formal documentation
Strong adherence to processes and procedures
Ability to operate standard office equipment (fax, scanner, printer, phone systems, computers)
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to pass and maintain a satisfactory background check
3+ years of experience in a billing or accounting role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience processing billing or other accounts receivable transactions
2+ years of advanced Excel experience
Experience in the construction industry in an accounting capacity
