Responsibilities
Provide electrical engineering design for the Engineering organization
Provide confidential and professional services for a wide variety and large volume of project designs, drawings, communications, and associated / related documentation
Conduct engineering services following established policy, process, and practice
Assist project managers and other engineering personnel in implementing projects
Support field maintenance crews and other related engineering activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (from an ABET accredited school) is required
6 months of Electrical Engineering experience is required
Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation
Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system
6 months of experience in performing design or technical review for electrical engineering designs, preferably in the following disciplines: Protective Relay and control, SCADA, Telecom, or substation
Valid U.S. Driver's License is required
First Aid/AED/CPR Certification required within 30 days of assignment start
Energized Facility Permit is required within one year of assignment start
Preferred
Knowledge of substation protection schemes
Knowledge of Remedial Action Scheme (RAS)
Knowledge of SCADA design or construction
