Human Resources Manager
Amphenol TFC is looking for an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of their HR function in the Chatham, VA plant. This role involves overseeing the full employee lifecycle, partnering with business leaders, and ensuring compliance and engagement within the workplace.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition: Partner with departments on full-cycle recruiting
Onboarding, Training & Development: Lead high-quality onboarding and training initiatives
Performance Management: Implement and manage fair, consistent performance improvement processes
Policies, Compliance & Employee Relations: Maintain and update HR policies to ensure legal compliance and best practices. Act as an advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
Organization Development: Design and deploy HR programs that strengthen engagement
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll: Ensure smooth and accurate payroll operations
Support Union Negotiations and Support
Health & Safety
Company Communications
Lead an HR Administrator
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
8+ years of progressive HR management experience in manufacturing, preferably in a union environment
Broad expertise across all HR functions and best practices
Strong people orientation and employee advocacy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, self-starting mindset
Analytical, organized, and decisive under pressure
Experienced in mediation, conflict resolution, and change management
High ethical standards and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
Proven leader who can influence, educate, and partner effectively across the organization
