Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis on the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and local court rules
Oversee bankruptcy case calendaring and tracking deadlines, preparing for hearings, and monitoring case status
Perform electronic court filings in the relevant courts
Prepare and review various pleadings, motions, objections, and notices for accuracy and compliance with court requirements
Coordinate and manage document production, discovery processes, and creditor/debtor communications
Communicate with clients, creditors, trustees, and court personnel to facilitate case administration
Perform other duties as assigned to support the bankruptcy and restructuring team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on bankruptcy law
Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures
Proficiency in legal research tools and software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong knowledge of filing through the CM/ECF system in all bankruptcy courts
Familiarity with the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and local court rules
Preferred
Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred
Knowledge of foreclosure and/or litigation is a plus
