Responsibilities

Interpret and apply product specifications, technical data, regulations, and other guideline materials to interpret and classify secure credential defects etc
Knowledge of how inspect equipment and tools, including bar code equipment
Record data from forms, using writing techniques, and briefing the appropriate officials as needed
Ability to use a computer and enter data in an electronic database to record/track findings accurately and to use Microsoft and Excel programs
Ability to distinguish colors
Ability to apply basic math to perform measurements

Required

U.S. Citizenship is Required
Selectee must pass preemployment requirements prior to appointment
Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service
Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period
Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
Applicant must have 1 year of specialized experience at the PG-5 grade level (or equivalent) level or higher
Examples of specialized experience includes: Interpreting and applying product specifications, technical data, regulations, and other guideline materials to interpret and classify secure credential defects
Inspecting equipment and tools, including barcode equipment
Visually inspecting secure credentials for defects
Applying basic math to perform measurements and distinguish colors
Entering data in an electronic database to record/track findings accurately
Experience working in a production environment and/or quality control environment
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may be used for this grade level
You MUST provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims
Official transcripts will be required from all selectees prior to receiving an official offer
One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study
If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program
