Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist I (Tier II)

Nesco Resource is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist I (Tier II) to support day-to-day accounts receivable operations on a contract basis. This role involves handling moderately complex accounting tasks, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Responsibilities

Review, code, and enter accounts receivable transactions into the financial system to ensure accurate sub-ledger and general ledger reporting
Respond to customer and internal inquiries via email, phone, and mail in accordance with department service standards
Research, reconcile, and analyze account data to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies
Prepare and provide reports to supervisory and senior AR staff to support data accuracy and SOX compliance
Verify the completeness and consistency of financial transactions to ensure internal controls are followed
Participate in monthly team and department meetings; assist with topic preparation or presentations as needed
Train new team members and cross-train existing staff on daily operational processes
Review and update departmental procedures, recommending improvements when appropriate

Detail-oriented
Comfortable working with financial data
Ability to handle moderately complex accounting and financial tasks
Experience in reviewing, coding, and entering accounts receivable transactions

Experience in researching, reconciling, and analyzing account data
Ability to prepare and provide reports to supervisory and senior AR staff
Knowledge of SOX compliance
Ability to verify the completeness and consistency of financial transactions
Experience in participating in team and department meetings
Ability to train new team members and cross-train existing staff
Experience in reviewing and updating departmental procedures
