Responsibilities

Research, write, edit, and review high-quality legal content, including but not limited to:
Legal articles and educational materials
Practice guides and compliance documentation
Website and marketing legal content
White papers, case summaries, and policy explanations
Ensure all content is accurate, current, and aligned with applicable U.S. federal and state laws
Translate complex legal concepts into clear, professional, and reader-friendly language
Collaborate with legal professionals, editors, and subject-matter experts to validate content accuracy
Maintain consistency in tone, terminology, and formatting across all legal publications
Monitor changes in laws and regulations to update existing content as needed
Ensure compliance with ethical, copyright, and confidentiality standards
Meet deadlines while managing multiple content projects simultaneously

Required

Bachelors degree in Law, Legal Studies, Journalism, English, or a related field (Juris Doctor preferred)

Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws and legal terminology
Exceptional written communication, grammar, and proofreading skills
Ability to conduct thorough legal research using reliable and authoritative sources
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
U.S. residency required (citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.)

Preferred

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Prior experience writing for law firms, legal publications, compliance teams, or legal technology companies
Familiarity with SEO best practices for legal content
Experience with content management systems (CMS)
