Responsibilities
Design and implement production-grade software that interfaces with medical device hardware and data acquisition systems
Develop and maintain signal processing and data pipelines supporting EEG analysis and ML workflows
Own software architecture decisions across embedded interfaces, data storage, and analysis environments
Collaborate with hardware engineers to define interfaces, protocols, and performance requirements
Build validation, testing, and documentation workflows consistent with FDA design controls
Support software verification and validation (V&V) activities for regulatory submissions
Contribute to early clinical studies by supporting data integrity, traceability, and analysis tools
Help establish software development best practices in a regulated environment
Qualification
Required
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience developing production software in a technical or regulated environment
Strong proficiency in Python (required); experience with C/C++ a plus
Experience working with data acquisition systems, signal processing, or scientific computing
Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and testing frameworks
Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware, ML, and clinical teams
Comfort operating in an early-stage startup environment with evolving requirements
Preferred
Experience in medical devices, digital health, or other regulated industries
Familiarity with FDA software lifecycle expectations (IEC 62304, design controls)
Experience with signal processing, time-series data, or biomedical data
Exposure to machine learning pipelines or data labeling/annotation workflows
Prior startup experience or comfort wearing multiple hats
