Lead Product Designer

Stella Contracting, Inc is seeking a highly experienced and creative Lead Product Designer to lead the design vision, strategy, and execution of user-centered digital products in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with deep expertise in UX/UI design, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling product experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end product design efforts from concept through execution and launch
Define and maintain the product design vision, standards, and best practices
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders
Translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive design solutions
Oversee user research, usability testing, and data-informed design decisions
Create and review wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs
Ensure consistency and scalability through design systems and style guides
Mentor and provide design direction to junior and mid-level designers
Present design concepts and rationale to executive and client stakeholders
Continuously evaluate and improve product usability, accessibility, and visual quality

Required

Bachelors degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field
7–10+ years of professional experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and leadership impact
Expert knowledge of UX/UI principles, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologies
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile or product-led environments
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must currently reside within the United States

Preferred

Experience designing complex SaaS, enterprise, or consumer-facing products
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
Experience building or scaling design systems
Background in data-driven or experimentation-based product design
