Responsibilities

Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise (Instrumentation and Control Engineering)
Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, engineering changes, calculations and sketches
Conducts engineering and related studies
Responsibilities will include design package development, developing conceptual designs and specifications for bidding purposes, evaluating alternatives, technical support during implementation, setpoint development, coordination of design efforts with selected vendors/AEs/designer and conducting design package reviews
A working knowledge or familiarity of cyber security regulations as mandated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is required as digital designs need to be cyber security compliant. Design products related to major digital controls system replacements, software evaluations, instrument component upgrades, and control circuits are expected to be developed

Required

Demonstrate technical proficiency in combination with good communication skills and leadership skills
Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise (Instrumentation and Control Engineering)
Ensure accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
Demonstrate and maintain competency in subject matters relevant to team's project portfolio
Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, engineering changes, calculations and sketches
Conduct engineering and related studies
Current qualification at a nuclear utility as a Modification Engineer under an INPO Accredited Program
Knowledge of Passport or Nuclear Asset Suite for design and work order development
A working knowledge or familiarity of cyber security regulations as mandated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
Qualify in the necessary duty areas to act independently as a Responsible Engineer for modifications within this company

Preferred

Experience in Operations department
Knowledge of design products related to major digital controls system replacements, software evaluations, instrument component upgrades, and control circuits
