Start in 2026 SummerSavannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is responsible for managing the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site's Liquid Waste operations contract. The Chemical Inventory Intern will support the annual chemical inventory and assist with various Chemical Coordinator duties, including managing document records and procedures.
Environmental Services
Responsibilities
Perform meaningful work in support of the SRMC organization
Support the annual chemical inventory by completing facility walk downs
Learn to use the CHMEMS Database for data input
Support other Chemical Coordinator duties as assigned
Support the File Plan for Operations
File completed procedures
Conduct review of Operations Essential File Inventory (verify procedure revisions)
File completed procedures as needed
Support work package closures and processing in Work Release
Support Document Records Contacts (DRCs) with Operations File Plan for Records Management
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year university, and currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree
Must have completed their sophomore year
Must pass General Employment Training (GET)
Must pass Drug and Alcohol Testing (DAT)
Preferred
A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
