Business Development Representative
PurTera IT helps large organizations execute physical and network work with speed and consistency. The Business Development Representative will drive new business by prospecting into large organizations, generating pipeline, coordinating solutioning with sales engineering, and closing deals while building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities
Identify and penetrate target accounts with national/global footprints (data centers, healthcare/campuses, MDUs, enterprise portfolios)
Build account maps and multi-thread into decision-makers (Owners, CIO/CTO, Infrastructure Managers, Network leaders, Operations)
Use software and AI tools along with cold calling, events, partner channels, and smart referrals to create consistent pipeline
Leverage inbound marketing leads and convert them into qualified opportunities
Run daily outbound motions (calls/emails/LinkedIn) to create meetings with qualified stakeholders
Deliver clear value propositions tied to speed, accuracy, standardized execution, and scalable delivery across sites
Qualify quickly and set strong next steps
Diagnose scope, timelines, standards, site complexity, stakeholder alignment, and budget
Position PurTera’s workflow-driven delivery model as a risk reducer (quality control, consistency, visibility, repeatability)
Collaborate with Sales Engineers to create accurate solutions, scopes, and rollout plans
Own the full cycle from discovery → proposal → close
Close fast transactional work (often under $1,000) that creates entry and expands into larger projects
Drive larger rollout deals (3–6 month cycles, $1M+) with clear mutual action plans and executive alignment
Move opportunities forward with urgency and clear next steps
Maintain clean activity, notes, next steps, deal stages, and forecasting in HubSpot
Track performance metrics and continuously improve conversion rates and cycle times
Qualification
Required
B2B sales experience with a strong outbound/hunting component
Track record of creating pipeline and closing net-new business
Ability to sell to technical and executive stakeholders (CIO/CTO/Infrastructure/Operations)
Strong communication skills: crisp discovery, confident executive conversations, and clean follow-up
Comfortable using CRM and sales tools (HubSpot preferred)
Preferred
Experience selling into enterprise accounts or complex environments (data centers, healthcare, large campus, MDU)
Familiarity with structured cabling / networking / IT field services or adjacent industries
Ability to run multi-site rollout sales cycles and coordinate multiple stakeholders
