Creating and improving mechanical designs
Developing detailed product documentation
Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) tools to generate 2D and 3D models
Supporting product development from concept through manufacturing
Collaborating cross-functionally with engineers and clients
Ensuring manufacturability
Conducting in-depth engineering analysis for optimal performance and quality
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Mechanical Engineering techniques
Must have 5+ years with a strong focus on custom genset or custom trailer design. Would accept weldment designs from another industry
Strong Product Design and development skills with a focus on innovation
Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor, or Creo
Ability to perform detailed engineering analyses and problem-solving
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Relevant experience in a related industry, such as energy, medical devices, consumer products, or defense
Preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques is a plus
