Responsibilities
Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and investigate variances to ensure data integrity
Support the month-end close process through the preparation of schedules and financial reports
Assist with internal and external audit requests, providing timely documentation and analysis
Maintain and update accounting master data in compliance with established procedures
Serve as a key point of contact for audit and assurance-related inquiries
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies within a growing organization
Contribute to acquisition-related accounting activities, including due diligence and post-close integration support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2–4 years of progressive accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills required
Strong working knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and complex account reconciliations
Self-starter with the ability to manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced close environment
Experience helping build or enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in a growing business
Ability to clearly communicate complex accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and adapt in an evolving organization
Preferred
CPA or active pursuit of a CPA strongly preferred
Oil & gas experience and exposure to a SOX-compliant or audited environment are strong pluses
Experience with Quorum On Demand (ODA), Enverus, and BlackLine is preferred
