Responsibilities
Maintain general ledger accounting for assigned real estate entities and properties
Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close processes
Prepare basic property-level financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow support)
Record and track accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions
Assist with CAM reconciliations and tenant billings, as applicable
Support lender reporting requirements and loan draw documentation
Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation by providing schedules and support documentation
Track fixed assets, capital expenditures, and depreciation
Maintain organized accounting records and supporting schedules
Collaborate with property management, asset management, and external vendors as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2–3 years of real estate accounting experience (commercial and/or residential)
Working knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting concepts
Experience with property management or real estate accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar)
Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, pivots, reconciliations)
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
