Responsibilities
Prepare, record, and reconcile general ledger journal entries
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial processes
Support the preparation of financial reports for internal use and external stakeholders
Assist in monitoring budgets and expenditures
Coordinate with departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure accuracy of financial data
Provide accounting analysis and related support to external partners, school departments, and administration staff as needed
Assist with the annual audit by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries
Maintain organized records in accordance with district policy and audit standards
Collaborate with other members of the finance team to identify opportunities for improved processes and controls
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Controller or CFO
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance; experience in public sector or school district preferred, but not required
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Organizational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Experience in public sector or school district
Familiarity with government/school district accounting
