Responsibilities
Deliver expert nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients, maintaining 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, dietitians, and pharmacists to optimize patient outcomes
Provide care across a variety of complex cardiac procedures and support therapies within a Level I Trauma and Magnet teaching hospital environment
Flexibly float within unit scope to support patient and staffing needs
Adhere to charting protocols using EPIC electronic medical records
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
Registered Nurse licensed in South Carolina or Multi-State Compact license
Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric cardiac ICU
Certifications required: PALS and BLS (American Heart Association standards)
Ability to work rotating 3x12-hour shifts covering day and night (7:00 AM 7:30 PM, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM) including 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week cycle and holiday rotation
Preferred
VAD experience highly preferred but first-timers are welcome
ACLS certification preferred (AHA accepted)
