Responsibilities
Select appropriate exposure factors and patient positioning to consistently produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images
Prepare and instruct patients for examinations, assisting the Radiologist during interventional procedures
Operate imaging equipment proficiently and report any malfunctions promptly to supervision
Complete assigned procedures efficiently; support departmental workflow by assisting peers and ensuring timely room turnover
Maintain medication security and patient confidentiality, adhering to hospital policies and HIPAA regulations
Utilize the Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively for documentation and information management
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and respond professionally to technical inquiries from healthcare personnel
Qualification
Required
Degree in Radiologic Technology
Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification)
Minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience
Valid NYS Radiology Technologist License or ability to obtain prior to start date
Minimum of two years of experience in radiologic technology, preferably in Interventional Radiology
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
Preferred
Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) certification
