Responsibilities
Independently perform 2D, color Doppler, and Doppler echocardiograms of the heart
Conduct stress and dobutamine echocardiograms following established protocols
Interpret test results with a high degree of clinical insight, recognizing abnormal and atypical findings
Assist with procedural scheduling and ensure efficient workflow
Maintain ultrasound equipment and manage inventory of necessary supplies
Support training and education of cardiac fellows within the imaging department
Qualification
Required
Degree in Radiologic Technology
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification
Minimum 1+ years Imaging experience
Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging with a focus on cardiac modalities such as 2D and Doppler echocardiography
Strong ability to independently perform and interpret echocardiographic studies, including stress and dobutamine tests
Experience with scheduling procedures and managing clinical inventory
Familiarity with ultrasound equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills, particularly in educating and collaborating with cardiology fellows and clinical staff
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality patient care and diagnostic accuracy
