Responsibilities
Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses and conditions, including giving injections
Consults with physicians as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases
Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care
Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems
Responds to emergencies, including the use of CPR
Counsel patient/family on preventive health care
Provides oversight as needed for the infusion department
Qualification
Required
Highly skilled, dedicated, and professional Physician Assistant (Rheumatology)
Four years of health care experience before applying to the PA program
One year of experience as a PA, preferably in a clinical setting
Ability to conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses and conditions, including giving injections
Ability to consult with physicians as needed and refer to physicians for more complicated medical cases
Ability to monitor therapies and provide continuity of care
Ability to triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems
