Responsibilities
Deliver skilled nursing care to stepdown patients, including those requiring isolation precautions such as COVID-19
Manage complex medication drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Dobutamine
Perform and assist with special procedures and equipment such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, BiPAP, and Airvo
Float within the scope of practice to medical telemetry, medical-surgical, and rehab units as needed
Potentially take on charge nurse responsibilities
Adhere to hospital policies and maintain consistent documentation using EPIC charting system
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Active Missouri or compact nursing license
Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
Minimum 1-2 years of stepdown nursing experience
Comfortable and competent with isolation patients and critical care procedures
Availability for a 3x12-hour night shift rotation (19:00 - 07:00) including on-call duties every third weekend
Must be able to work on float rotations
No local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be accepted per client requirements

First-time stepdown nurses are welcome to apply
