Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters
Administer contrast media and medications safely, adhering to scope of practice and regulatory guidelines
Monitor patients throughout procedures, reporting any abnormal findings promptly
Follow stringent radiation safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety
Perform specialized imaging including angiography, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures
Collaborate closely with Radiologists and Physician Assistants in assisting during imaging procedures
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory agency standards and facility policies
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology
Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
1+ year of Cath Lab experience
Preferred
Certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent credential
Proficient in a wide range of imaging techniques, particularly angiographic and interventional procedures
Strong knowledge of contrast media administration and radiation safety
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
