Responsibilities
Perform specialized nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures in a professional healthcare setting located in Canandaigua, NY
Review patient history and physician orders to ensure comprehensive understanding
Educate patients about procedures and equipment to promote cooperation and comfort
Proper patient positioning and imaging techniques tailored to individual age, sensory needs, and ability to cooperate will be critical to achieving accurate image quality
Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy according to established standards and organizational policies
Analyze imaging results and take corrective actions when necessary
Handle radiopharmaceuticals safely from ordering and preparation to administration, storage, and disposal while complying with all relevant protocols and regulations
Monitor patient condition continuously and respond promptly to changes
Maintain inventory of supplies in the nuclear medicine clinical rooms and accurately report scan outcomes
Qualification
Required
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N)
Minimum of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience
Valid New York State license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience preferred
CT certification and experience with PET/CT preferred
