Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to neurocritical patients, including those with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors
Perform detailed neurological assessments and manage ICP waveform, EVD, CRRT when applicable
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
Utilize advanced monitoring devices accurately to ensure patient safety
Float to other inpatient areas as needed depending on census
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with 2+ years ICU experience
Neuro ICU or related neurological critical care expertise
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Skilled in managing hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
Strong neurological assessment and comprehensive nursing skills
Preferred
Familiarity with equipment such as Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer
Experience with EMR systems, especially Epic
