Responsibilities
Execute Property Lifecycles: Own the end-to-end accounting for large-scale property portfolios, including acquisitions, capital improvements, depreciation, and impairment testing
Strategic Technical Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders on property-specific accounting standards, including ASC 842 (Leases) and/or IFRS 16
Data-Driven Reporting: Translate complex property data into actionable financial insights, ensuring all multi-million dollar assets are accounted for with "audit-ready" precision
Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in property management workflows and implement scalable, tech-forward improvements within SAP, and specialized property management software
Compliance & Rigor: Manage complex reconciliations and fixed asset registers across diverse jurisdictions, maintaining the highest standards of US GAAP and IFRS compliance
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global finance leads to ensure property accounting deliverables align with broader corporate financial objectives
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in Property Accounting, specifically supporting Fortune 500 environments or within a top-tier consulting/audit firm
Ability to read and interpret guidance
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, at minimum
Ability to dissect complex property portfolios and build robust, data-backed accounting solutions
Advanced experience with Excel, SAP and property management systems
