Responsibilities
Review patient history and physician's orders to prepare for imaging procedures
Educate patients about exam procedures and equipment to facilitate their understanding and cooperation
Position patients accurately and perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy tailored to individual patient needs, including considerations for age and sensory capabilities
Analyze imaging results to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring optimal diagnostic value
Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with safety standards and regulations
Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond promptly to changes in status
Maintain inventory of clinical nuclear medicine supplies
Qualification
Required
Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N)
Minimum of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience
New York State licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine imaging
Preferred
CT certification
Experience with PET/CT imaging
