Responsibilities
Deliver safe and effective nursing care to Emergency Room patients following the Nursing Process, state Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies
Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient assessment and care planning
Lead and supervise nursing and clinical staff, delegating tasks according to their skills and experience
Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training
Provide care within a 14-bed ER using MedHost and EDIS electronic medical records
Manage patient ratio of approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Current RN licensure
Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in emergency nursing
Experience in a Level IV trauma center
Ability to wear any solid color scrubs
Must reside more than 50 miles from the hospital to qualify
