National Account Manager

Responsibilities
Own and grow assigned national retail accounts through execution of WYBOT’s overall sales and marketing strategy
Lead buyer relationships, line reviews, assortment decisions, and annual joint business planning
Own customer P&L, delivering profitable and sustainable growth against revenue and margin objectives
Build, manage, and execute annual sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and updates
Develop strong relationships across customer organizations beyond the buyer level (merchandising, supply chain, marketing, digital)
Drive in-store and online sales performance through assortment optimization, distribution expansion, pricing strategy, and promotional execution
Ensure online execution across retailer.com and marketplace platforms supports and amplifies in-store performance
Act as the internal expert on assigned retailers’ online platforms, staying current on policies, tools, and best practices
Support new item launches, seasonal resets, and in-store programs to ensure retail readiness and executional excellence
Develop, manage, and execute customer-specific promotional and marketing programs, including:
In-store promotions, displays, and merchandising initiatives
Retail media and digital marketing programs
Seasonal and product launch campaigns
Allocate and manage trade and advertising budgets to deliver strong ROI
Negotiate, track, and manage trade funds and promotional spend
Measure program effectiveness, identify optimization opportunities, and resolve claims or deductions in a timely manner
Lead content optimization across retailer platforms to ensure conversion, brand consistency, and best-in-class digital shelf execution
Monitor and analyze category, SKU, and account performance to drive sales, profitability, and market share
Leverage internal reporting and external data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
Serve as the primary source of account insights for internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain
Act as the internal voice of the customer, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, Logistics, Customer Service, and Finance
Collaborate with distribution partners and brand representatives to support execution, forecasting, and sell-through
Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to improve service levels, inventory health, and chargeback reduction
Support trade shows, store checks, new store openings, in-store sets, and customer sales calls as needed
Bring working knowledge of retail compliance considerations across logistics, packaging, and product to support successful execution
Partner cross-functionally to help ensure products meet retailer requirements related to packaging, labeling, documentation, and routing
Proactively identify execution risks and escalate as needed to protect sales performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
5+ years of experience managing national retail accounts
Proven track record delivering revenue growth and profitable P&L performance
Direct experience selling to mass, specialty, electronics, DIY, or club retailers
Strong understanding of in-store retail execution supported by omnichannel strategy
Familiarity with retail data, category analysis, and performance reporting tools
Knowledge of retailer systems, item setup, and promotional processes
Preferred
Experience managing accounts such as Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, Best Buy, Costco, Sam's Club, or similar
Experience working with distribution partners and external sales reps
