Provide strategic guidance to promote transparency, regulatory compliance, and responsible fiscal stewardship
Collaborate extensively with the Audit Director, Information Technology, City departments, Finance staff, and external partners to support effective financial management across the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or a related field
Seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience in a local government finance department
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Virginia Driver's License
Acceptable criminal background check and drug screen results
Preferred
Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
