InternInterra Credit Union is seeking a Finance Intern to join their Internship Program. The role involves participating in a capstone project, engaging with leadership, and gaining practical experience in the finance industry while supporting various departments.

Responsibilities
Support assigned department in administrative tasks, report generation, and project coordination. Complete engagements for designated areas as directed by your department supervisor
Develop proficiency in using various software programs specific to internship assignment. Learn how to prepare various types of professional materials such as reporting, software, presentations
Participate as a member of the Intern Project Team on projects, working along-side professional staff and senior leadership
Learn how to identify and communicate potential problem areas in financial documents, records, and reports
Conduct specific research by gathering data, interpreting results and presenting findings to various levels of management
Develop effective internal professional relationships as well as external networking skills. Enhance your professional network by connecting with colleagues within and across departments. Promote a positive relationship between the members (internal and external) and understands that service delivery to our members is our number one priority of the Credit Union
Qualification
Required
Basic knowledge of business processes and interpretation
Must be technology savvy and demonstrate a high level of competency using spreadsheets and word processing
Attention to detail and follow-through required
Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Minimum of one year (24- credit hours) of college coursework specific to Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field actively pursuing a bachelor's degree
Will consider a variety of Majors
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
Work full-time during the summer (approximately May-August)
Ability to work in a team environment with the ability to interact in a positive manner with peers, management, and other departments
Strong time management, organizational skills, and an ability to multi-task
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Must have professional verbal and written communication skills
Possess and apply a solid understanding of the work environment
Must be punctual, reliable, and present
Must be professional in appearance and manner
Perform work safely and effectively
Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
Work overtime and weekends as required
Ability to provide world class member service while executing Interra's vision, mission, and delivery of Core Values
Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency
Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer, telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator
Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise
Some outdoor work will be required, regardless of weather, may be needed
May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions
Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics
Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence
